Planning a wedding (and taking part in it!) is very exciting – but it can also be stressful. As your wedding toastmaster, I aim to remove that stress so that you can relax and enjoy being with your family and friends.
Before Your Wedding Day
I will work closely with you to know exactly what you want and how you want the day to flow. Under your guidance, I will be in contact with your other suppliers (such as wedding planner, venue management, photographer, videographer, musicians, entertainers etc.) I always plan to visit the reception venue and talk to the management, so that everything is agreed and you can be reassured that all will be well on the day. If you involve me early, I can give you my best advice on all aspects of planning your wedding.
At Your Wedding Service (or Civil Ceremony)
I’ll get to your ceremony venue early to greet your guests and to help you and your wedding party be relaxed and ready. I will also work with your photographer / videographer (whatever you have) to help them get you the best possible photographs.
Your Wedding Reception and ‘Wedding Breakfast’
I offer a modern approach to your requirements, which can include a wider range of duties than you might imagine. I am there to make sure things run smoothly and exactly as you have planned them. The ceremonial red tailcoat is still a main feature, as are any other traditional customs you might want, such as:
Welcoming guests, handling presents, organising the receiving line, hosting the cake-cutting ceremony, introducing (and reassuring!) your wedding speech-makers, announcing the first dance.
These are all optional, of course, we’ll talk about how you want your wedding reception to be - and I will make sure that happens. I won’t need a lavish meal; I prefer to hover and mingle (discreetly!) to make sure that your guests are happy and that all the right things are happening at the right time.
Your Reception / Party
If you plan to have an evening reception or party, I can advise the couple on their ‘first dance’ – and, on the day, announce them and welcome them to the dance floor, for this unique occasion.
